Celebrate at the Collingwood Festival for Canada, July 1-3. This family festival features a full line-up of activities including strolling entertainment, live music, on-the-water events and the Clear Canadian Song Contest.
Friday July 1st   http://www.collingwood.ca/canadaday
Start the day with a pancake breakfast, taking place from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Collingwood Town Hall. Then, take in the Citizenship Reaffirmation Ceremony and gigantic Canada Day birthday cake at the Federal Building.Throughout the day enjoy Canada Day will also feature strolling entertainers, children’s activity centre and the Annual Rubber duck Race and

feastCelebrate Canada Day in Collingwood with a focus on LOCAL at this outdoor family-style eating experience! Enjoying a delicious meal together at one long table goes back to the original roots of good food….fresh, seasonal ingredients with a focus on those grown locally, enjoyed in the company of friends and family. The food for this event will be prepared by local chefs and enjoyed right on Simcoe Street.
There will be two sittings of the community Farm to Table Street Feast starting at 5pm and 7:30pm.
Children: $15.00
Adults: $35.00
For the day, Collingwood’s Simcoe Street will be transformed into a pedestrian-only celebration of local food and art. Starting at 11am, come shop the vintage market and artisan tents while the kids enjoy fun arts & crafts activities, games and live performances. Cardboardia castle-building starts at 3pm. Musical performances will be ongoing throughout the entire day!
A family movie will be shown in the Simcoe Street Theatre at 6pm between meals.
Proceeds go to raising funds for a youth food & gardening program together with the Collingwood Public Library.
This is a joint venture between the Farm to Table – Market & Kitchen; CC Food Co-op and the Town of Collingwood.
We look forward to sharing in a great day celebrating Canada as a community with local artists, local food, local chefs and musical talents. Join us!

Your top six qualifiers will compete for the title of Clear Canadian Song Contest Champion. The winner will be selected by audience text vote so don’t forget your device.   Bring a blanket to this free concert.
fireworksHarbour Fireworks 10:00 p.m. The fireworks will be launching from a new location at Hen & Chickens Island so expect some new views and variations. View from anywhere along the waterfront including the Shipyards Amphitheatre, Millennium Park, and the Promenade. Inclement weather date July 2.
