Eddie Bush Memorial Arena
The Eddie Bush Memorial Arena will be hopping on Friday, July 22, but the songs you’ll hear as you enter the arena may not be what you expect.
As part of the Live & Original Festival, taking place during the annual Collingwood Elvis Festival, the Juno-nominated, 2014 CCMA Group of The Year, Small Town Pistols will be performing at the Arena on Friday night, for a showcase concert.  Joining Small Town Pistols will be special guest Gina Horswood, the 2015 winner of the Live & Original Songwriter Showdown. Gina won the inaugural competition, and introduced Collingwood music fans to her powerhouse vocals and touching lyrics.
The “Live & Original Music Series” celebrates finding musical creativity and innovation at the grass-roots level. This is an opportunity to see unknown artists develop their own individual songwriting ability and performance style, in a competition format, performing their original songs live and in person. This is a music competition designed to give the audience a connection with the artist as he or she expresses their personal story through song.
Tickets for the L&O Showcase are available through TicketBreak at ticketbreak.com/elvisfest. For more information, please visit www.collingwood.ca/liveoriginal or call: 705-444-2500 Ext. 3279.
