You are invited to help guide the future of local entrepreneurship at the Business in Motion Forum on Thursday May 18th, 12 – 1:30pm at the Bear Estate, Cranberry Village.

Collingwood, ON [9 May 2017] – The Business Development Centre (BDC), serving Southern Georgian Bay, is hosting a series of Business in Motion Forums to establish deeper connections between business leaders, entrepreneurs and  government organizations.
The new Business in Motion Forums give community and corporate leaders a chance to get involved in shaping future opportunities through dialogue and action planning.
On May 18th, the Business in Motion Form will be tackling the issue of: Accelerating Entrepreneurship. What’s next for South Georgian Bay Business Community?

Southern Georgian Bay is a hotbed for entrepreneurs and it’s only growing, as the double-digit traffic growth at the Business Development Centre demonstrates.  The challenge is how to keep up the momentum – the spring Business in Motion Forum tackles this issue.
“We want to inspire more discussion and debate on this hot topic.  We have a tremendous entrepreneurial opportunity developing here in Southern Georgian Bay, but unless we work together on focusing our efforts in the right places, we won’t come close to fully capitalizing on this opportunity”, said Martin Rydlo, Director of Marketing & Business Development, Town of Collingwood.
Participants will be seated at tables of 6 – 8 to meet and discuss their concerns and opportunities through Business in Motion Table Talks, a dialogue on pertinent business topics relevant to the local community. Three community business leaders will then present a short overview of their business and highlight key topics that came up at their Table Talks.  Some provocative questions by the moderator will make sure the discussion is dynamic and inspires ideas on potential actions that could be pursued.
The May 18th session will feature local business leaders Garnet Pratt Siddall, President and CEO Side Launch Brewing Co. Ltd.; Shelby Taylor, President and CEO Earth to Kids Inc.; Chris Keleher, Royal LePage Locations North; and Rob Cattle, Director Ecosphere Engagement – ventureLAB @ IBM Innovation Space
